Russian Railways can place 10–15 bln rbl perpetual bonds ‘17

MOSCOW, Apr 21 (PRIME) -- Russian Railways can offer a pilot issue of perpetual 10–15 billion ruble bonds in late 2017, Senior Vice President Vadim Mikhailov told reporters on Friday.

He said that a change in legislation is needed to qualify such bonds as capital, not a liability and it can take at least six months.

“If the decision is made, we will be able to launch a pilot project of perpetual bonds by the year’s end. We want to link this instrument with an infrastructure project, this is why, based on the potential projects that we have, we see the amount at 10–15 billion rubles,” Mikhailov said.
